Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, (EFE) informs the CB Gran Canaria.
The sanction is due to the two technical fouls that were pointed out to him, with consequent expulsion, last Saturday, March 11, in the match between Gran Canaria and Covirán Granada.
On the night of Thursday 16, at 9:00 p.m., the resolution was communicated, with a deadline until this Friday at 1:00 p.m., for the presentation of the request for precautionary measures, indicated in a statement.
CB Gran Canaria has worked on the defense and has requested a precautionary measure that could allow the coach to sit on the bench to direct the game this Saturday March 18 against UCAM Murcia.
However, on the afternoon of this Friday, the Single Competition Judge has not admitted for processing the precautionary measure requested by the Gran Canaria Basketball Club.
For this reason, Víctor García will occupy the position of first coach this Saturday
CB Gran Canaria expresses its “deep discomfort with the disproportionate sanction, and also understands that it represents a comparative injury with similar or worse situations that have been witnessed in the competition.”
The club also wants to convey its “dissatisfaction with the short time that has been available to formalize the resources, and pertinent actions, in order to defend their rights, and those of their main coach, in the competition.”
“We regret the non-granting of the precautionary measure in a process that is still open and where there is room for resources from the Appeals Committee,” highlights the club from Gran Canaria. EFE
