Toledo (EFE).- The Civil Guard has confirmed that the human remains found this Tuesday on a farm in Valdepeñas (Ciudad Real) correspond to Juan Miguel Isla, the businessman from Manzanares (Ciudad Real) who disappeared in July 2022.
The Civil Guard has reported that the biological analyzes carried out on the corpse found have confirmed that they belong to the businessman.
The investigation, carried out by agents of the Central Operating Unit and the Ciudad Real Command, is directed by the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 2 of Manzanares (Ciudad Real).
An investigation carried out with “neatness and conscientiousness”
The confirmation that the skeletal remains found belong to the businessman Juan Miguel Isla has made it possible to practically end a police operation that has been carried out “with great care and conscientiousness.”
Sources close to the investigation have thus defined to EFE the work carried out by the operation that “has been composing each of the pieces of the puzzle” in order to clarify the disappearance of the businessman and, as they suspected, his murder.
However, although the main suspect in her disappearance is a businessman from Manzanares, Antonio CV, owner of the farm where Isla’s body was found last Tuesday, he has not yet gone to court, although he could do so after that the Civil Guard register his address, something that is happening on the afternoon of this Thursday.
Both Antonio CV -who acted as an intermediary in the sale of some land that Isla wanted to carry out- and GRE have been present in the records of the Valdepeñas farm where the skeletal remains appeared and in which they have been carried out this Thursday on the farm of Juan Miguel Isla, in Manzanares.
Isla went to Manzanares to sell a family farm
Juan Miguel Isla, 58, a native of Manzanares and resident of Alicante, moved to his hometown to close the deal for the sale of a family farm, a process for which he had to receive a large amount of money as a down payment.
The businessman was last seen at the Manzanares market, near Antonio’s house. CV on July 21, 2022, supposedly after collecting that money and since then his whereabouts have remained unknown.
At the end of January, the Civil Guard released images of his vehicle, a gray Renault Clío, requesting citizen collaboration for his search, which allowed him to be located in a field on the outskirts of Albacete.
They investigate the relationship of a detainee with another disappearance
In addition, it is also being investigated whether Antonio CV is related to the disappearance of another businessman, Jesús María González Borrajo, 57, also in Manzanares.
González Borrajo has been missing since June 2019, after he traveled to the Ciudad Real municipality from Vitoria (Álava) to sell two high-end cars in which Antonio CV also acted as a mediator, who was the last to see him.
This businessman dedicated to the slot machine business did not take a flight to Paraguay the day after his disappearance, as planned.
González Borrajo’s family suspects that this disappearance and that of Juan Miguel Isla are linked, through the intermediary, a hypothesis that the González Borrajo lawyer, Dionisio Pérez, has defended from the beginning.
The investigation, carried out by Agents of the Central Operative Unit and the Command of Ciudad Real, is directed by the Court of First Instance and Instruction number 2 of Manzanares, which has decreed the secrecy of the summary.
