Work of the artist Enric Ginestar
Work by the artist Enric Ginestar, ‘Easter Day in the Albufera’ is part of ‘Setabosc’, the children’s fault of Almirante Cadarso-Conde de Altea, in the Plan de Remei-Gran Vía sector, included in the Special section for children.
The group represents a bucolic picture of a family made up of two adults and six children, all of them dressed in traditional clothing, in a place in Albufera, where there is no shortage of mascots, the Valencian hut, the paella, the orange tree and the l ‘albufereny, the traditional lake boat.
This 2023 is the eighth year that this commission has obtained the pardoned child ninot. In 1987, 1988 and 1989, he achieved it with ninots by Hermogenes Aroca Gómez; in 2006 and 2007 by María Valero Pérez; and in 2020 and 2021 with “Ofrena” and “Batalla de flors”, both also by Enric Ginestar.
Almirante Cadarso-Conde Altea’s ninot will become part of the Museu Faller de València, the only museum in the world that chooses its pieces by popular vote.
