Lugo, Mar 9 (EFE).- The coach of Río Breogán, Veljko Mrsic, who renewed his contract with the Galician team until 2024, stated that he “did not want to wait” to receive other offers because his priority was to stay in Lugo and he wanted, Looking ahead to next season, there is “continuity” in the squad after having to make a revolution last summer.
“I am very happy to be renewed, to continue another year in this club, in this city. I am grateful for this opportunity. We have been working very well together for a little over a year and it will be a third season in the team”, he indicated at a press conference in which the general manager, Tito Díaz, accompanied him.
Mrsic explained that the agreement to continue had already been forged a long time ago because he did not want to listen to offers.
“We have been in agreement for a long time. I told my agent that I was very pleased, that I did not want to wait for other offers. There is no rush to look for other girlfriends, I am happy with this one, ”she said with a laugh.
The Croatian coach shared the desire that Breogán change its squad as little as possible after last year losing players like Dzanan Musa, MVP of the Endesa League, Rasid Mahalbasic, Jordan Sakho, Tyler Kalinoski or Trae Bell-Haynes.
“Surely there will be changes, but we hope they will be as few as possible, not like last year. We believe in this project, in these players and we are going to try to keep as many as possible, within our budget”, he specified.
Tito Díaz, general director of the club, affirmed that at Breogán they are “very satisfied” with the continuity of the Croatian coach.
“We are very happy with his work, his commitment and the way he leads the team, beyond the results. The harmony is total”, indicated the head of the Galician team.
