Oviedo (EFE).- Asturias registers twenty-two forest fires early this Tuesday, six more than late yesterday afternoon, which will be reviewed throughout the morning to determine their situation, the Emergency Service has reported of the Principality of Asturias (SEPA), which only maintains people in the focus located in La Bustariega (Somiedo).
The fires are registered in fifteen councils: Allande, Aller, Belmonte de Miranda, Cabrales, Cangas del Narcea, Cangas de Onís, Caso, Lena, Parres, Peñamellera Baja, Quirós, San Martín del Rey Aurelio, Sobrescobio, Somiedo and Tineo.
Specifically, there are outbreaks in Fonteta (Allande); Bustille (Aller); Modrerios (Belmonte de Miranda); Doors (Cabrales) Soto de la Ensertal (Cangas de Onís); Cuadriellas de Villaláez, Agüera del Coto, Besullo and Gedrez-San Martín de los Eiros (Cangas del Narcea); El Barru and La Foz (Case); Pajares and Bendueños (Lena); Fresnidiello (Parres); Cuñaba and Suarias (Peñamellera Baja); Fresnedo (Quirós); Veró and La Bobia (San Martín del Rey Aurelio); Villamorey (Sobrescobio); La Bustariega (Somiedo), and Fuentes (Tineo).
All these fires will be reviewed throughout the morning, and the only one in which SEPA Firefighters remain is the fire located in Somiedo, in La Bustariega.
Asturias activated the Forest Fire Plan (INFOPA) last Wednesday in emergency phase in situation 0 due to the weather forecast and the possibility that the number of fires could increase.
After several days without precipitation, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts cloudy skies for today in Asturias with light, occasionally stormy rains and a drop in maximum temperatures.
