Logroño, (EFE) who is accused by two victims, with no civil or canonical complaints in any of the three cases.
This was confirmed this Monday to EFE by sources from the Diocese, which last January sent this information to the La Rioja Prosecutor’s Office and last week to the State Attorney General’s Office, once it indicated that it would claim religious entities and congregations to send them data on child abuse.
The Diocese of La Rioja found out about these three cases through journalistic information and, later, contacted the victims, already of legal age, offering them “accompaniment and reparation” and the possibility of filing a complaint, which they declined.
The case denounced in a religious order in La Rioja occurred in 1980, by a friar about a minor on that date, who only wanted to denounce the fact, but not file a complaint in the civil or canonical spheres.
That same desire is that of the other two people who have denounced a deceased priest, one was a minor when the events occurred, between 1970 and 1988; and another of legal age, between 1993 and 1994.
