Madrid (EFE).- Minimum temperatures of up to 9 degrees below zero keep thirteen communities on yellow warning (risk) this Monday, especially in the interior and northern half of the peninsula, reports the Meteorological Agency (Aemet) on its website.
Castilla y León has a yellow level in all provinces due to values that will drop to 8-9 degrees below zero in areas of the Central system of Ávila, Soria and Segovia, in points of Sanabria, in areas of the Cantabrian mountain range of Palencia and León and in the Iberian of Burgos; Aemet warns that locally it can reach up to 11 degrees below zero.
La Rioja continues with a yellow alert due to lows of 9 degrees below zero in the Iberian region of La Rioja, locally up to 11 degrees below zero in high areas of the community.
The Community of Madrid is in yellow due to cold of 4 degrees below zero in the metropolitan area and Henares and 6 degrees below zero in areas of the south, west and in Las Vegas, while in Castilla-La Mancha all its provinces, except City Real, they continue in yellow due to cold between 4 and 6 degrees below zero, with the highest incidence in Parameras de Molina (Guadalajara) with 9 degrees below zero.

In the northeastern half of the peninsula, the thermometers will drop to 6 degrees below zero in the community of Aragon, especially in areas close to the Huesca Pyrenees, Albarracín, Jiloca, Gúdar and Maestrazgo, as well as in Catalonia, where the minimum will drop to 6 degrees below zero in the pre-Pyrenees, Pyrenees and Valle de Arán.
The community of Cantabria and Asturias, in yellow level, will drop to 6 degrees below zero in areas of Cantabria del Ebro and in the mountain range and Picos de Europa, respectively, while in Navarra 6 degrees below zero are also expected in the Pyrenees.
Galicia only maintains the cold alert in Ourense for values of 4 degrees below zero in the south of the province.
In the Levantine area, in the Valencian Community they continue with a yellow warning for values between 2 and 4 degrees below zero on the north and inland coast of the province of Alicante, and on the south coast of Valencia; The Region of Murcia will reach -4 degrees in the highlands and northwest.
Andalusia continues with a cold alert in the provinces of Córdoba, Granada and Seville with records between 1 and 6 degrees below zero, the latter in the towns of Guadix and Baza.
The Aemet warns that with the yellow alert there is no meteorological risk for the population in general, although there is for some specific activity.
