Pamplona (EFE).- The spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Senate, Eva Granados, has regretted “deeply” this Friday that the right “uses the territory and the Government of Navarra to generate tension and division.”
“We have a right that the most that can present here is a defector,” he told the media about the candidacy of Carlos García Adanero for mayor of Pamplona for the PP.
Granados, after a meeting with the president of the Government of Navarra and general secretary of the PSN, María Chivite, at the party’s headquarters in Pamplona, stated that “the right, with its president at the helm, the head of the opposition, simply disqualifies And what it does is not value the great successes that this Government is having »in Navarra.
Two days of visits and meetings in Navarra
The socialist spokesperson, visiting Navarra since Thursday, visited yesterday the National Center for Technology and Food Safety (CNTA), accompanied by the Minister of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Juan Cruz Cigudosa, as well as the Public University of Navarra, where he met with representatives of the rectory.
In addition, this Thursday he held a meeting with associations and federations of pensioners from Navarra and later with members of the Regional Executive Commission of the PSN.
This Friday, he met with the Minister of Education, Carlos Gimeno, and the General Director of Peace, Coexistence and Human Rights, Martín Zabalza, to analyze the didactic units and the meetings in schools with victims of terrorism.
Later, after meeting with President Chivite, he took part in a meeting with young people from Navarra and representatives of the Socialist Youth of Navarra.
Navarra, a “model” in educational policies”
Granados, who has highlighted that Navarra is present in 9 of the 11 PERTEs for attracting European funds, explained that in the CNTA he has been able to see “how this technology transfer between the agri-food industries and the primary sector improves competitiveness and it moves to something as important as the PERTE of Food ».
At the Public University of Navarra, he said, “we were able to see how energy efficiency, something that is already very advanced in this territory”, is also being transferred “to the premises, to the equipment” of the academic center, which has the objective to be “neutral” energetically.
Regarding pensioners, it has valued the 8.5% increase in the pension, which “means that people who do not work, those who receive a pension, which is a significant percentage here in Navarra, are not harmed by the increase in inflation.
The Socialist spokesperson in the Senate has commented on the other hand that Navarra “is a model in educational policies. The work for equity and non-segregation is exemplary at the level of Spain.
He has also alluded to the strikes called by groups of doctors and has considered that “we are witnessing the consequences of the cuts made by the governments of the right”, which have caused a deficit of professionals.
“I know that the Government of Navarra is in negotiations, I have been able to verify not only the quality of the public health system in Navarra but also the willingness for dialogue and agreement”, said Granados, who has opined that “there will be a understanding between the unions and the Government.
A “calm leadership” in Navarra
In short, he commented, President María Chivite and the coalition government “what they represent is stability, it is a calm leadership.”
Granados has asserted that, when the Spanish and Navarrese governments understand each other, “conflicts are avoided and that means that there have been thirteen agreements that have avoided appeals to the courts, and also how powers can be transferred.”
“That is the way in which Navarra and Spain are advancing, two social democratic governments that are clear that they govern for a social majority,” he concluded.
