Oviedo (EFE).- The Asturias airport received 1,454,763 passengers last year, which represents an increase of 74.9 percent compared to 2021, when mobility was still conditioned by the covid-19 pandemic.
The Asturian aerodrome managed 12,189 landing and takeoff operations, 51.15 percent more than the previous year, according to Aena data published this Thursday by the Asturian Society for Economic and Industrial Studies (Sadei).
In addition, the movement of passengers was 2.6 percent higher than in 2019, the last year before the pandemic, despite the fact that the number of operations was 9 percent lower.
As a whole, Spanish airports received nearly 80.5 million international air passengers last year, 136.2 percent more than in 2021.
This figure represents 85 percent of those who arrived in 2019. EFE
