Santa Cruz de Tenerife (EFE).- A total of 1,100 applicants have taken this weekend the test included in the selection tests to cover 75 basic scale positions of the General Corps of the Canary Police (CGPC).
These 75 places are part of the public employment offer of the General Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for 2021, approved by Decree 120/2021, of December 2, in which Annex I establishes said figure for the CGPC, details the Autonomous government in a statement.
It is the first call in which the requirement of the minimum height that until now was required of applicants will no longer be in force: 1.65 meters for men and 1.60 for women; diseases such as bronchial asthma, migraines or gastro-duodenal ulcers will not be excluded either.
Applicants who apply for this call must meet, among other requirements, have Spanish nationality, be of legal age and not exceed the age established for the pass to the situation of second activity with destination, as well as be in a position or in conditions to obtain the title of Bachelor or Technician.
Likewise, they must have no criminal record or a history of sexual offences, not have been separated through a disciplinary file from the service of any of the public administrations and be in possession of a class B and A2 driving license.
The test test, of 100 questions with three alternative answers, has been carried out, simultaneously, in the facilities of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, whose classrooms have attended 688 applicants, and of the University of La Laguna, in whose classroom 412 candidates have presented themselves.
Once this knowledge test has been passed, which is eliminatory, they will have to face a practical course, an English test, a physical test and a psychological test.
Subsequently, and before joining the CGPC, they will enter the academy, where they will spend four months training. EFE
