Madrid (EFE).- The third heat wave of this summer begins to subside slightly this Wednesday, although the provinces of Malaga (Andalusia), Alicante (Valencian Community) and the Region of Murcia still continue with a red warning for values between 42- 44 degrees, reports Aemet on its website.
In Andalusia, Malaga is at a red level (extreme risk) due to highs of 42 degrees in Sol and Guadalhorce; in Almería, Córdoba, Granada, Jaén and Seville they have an orange warning for records between 39 and 42 degrees.
The Region of Murcia maintains the red warning in the vega del Segura due to temperatures that will reach 44 degrees; In the rest of the Murcian community, the orange alert persists for values between 39 and 41 degrees.
Only the province of Alicante of the Valencian Community has activated the red warning for maximums of 42 degrees, mainly in the western half of the area, the rest reaching 36-39 degrees; In Valencia there is an orange alert for maximums of 39-40 degrees in inland areas and in Castellón, a yellow warning.
Four communities on orange alert
The communities of Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Castilla-La Mancha and Catalonia continue in orange level due to records of 39 degrees in areas of the south of Huesca, in the interior of the island of Mallorca, in La Mancha in Albacete and in the central depression of Lleida and Tarragona .
The Community of Madrid and Extremadura are on yellow alert due to maximum values of 38 degrees, while the provinces of Almería, Alicante, Valencia and in the Region of Murcia also have a yellow warning due to the risk of storms.
The Aemet warns that with the red alert the risk is extreme with unusual meteorological phenomena of exceptional intensity and with a very high level of risk for the population, while with the orange level there is significant risk in unusual meteorological phenomena and for activities usual.
