Toledo (EFE).- A worker died this Monday when he fell from the deck of a ship, in the Toledo town of Yuncos, while doing cleaning work.
As reported by the 112 emergency and emergency service, the notice was received at 1:44 p.m. this Monday, when a worker fell from the roof of a furniture factory, some 7 or 8 meters high.
The warehouse is located in front of kilometer 2 of the highway that goes from Yuncos to Cedillo del Condado.
The Civil Guard, the Local Police and an UVI have traveled to the place of the event.
14 dead in work accidents until May in Castilla-La Mancha
Throughout Spain, occupational accidents caused 288 deaths up to the month of May, and fourteen of them occurred in Castilla-La Mancha, which is eleven fewer than in the same period in 2022.
At the national level, fatal occupational accidents have also decreased, specifically 48 fewer, which represents a drop of 14.3%, compared to the same period in 2022, according to data updated by the Ministry of Labor.
Of the national total, 245 deaths occurred during the working day, 31 less or a decrease of 11.2%.
In addition, 43 deaths occurred in trips to work, the so-called “in itinere”, 17 less than in 2022, a decline of 28.3%.
In the case of Castilla-La Mancha, thirteen fatal occupational accidents occurred during the working day and one, in itinere.
