Madrid (EFE).- The Tax Agency has returned 8,301 million euros to 12 million taxpayers at the end of the 2022 income campaign, which is equivalent to 70.1% of the amount requested and 80.2% of the claimed returns.
The Agency has published this Tuesday the data of the income campaign -which started on April 11 and ended on June 30-, a period in which it received 22.9 million declarations, 3.9% more than past year.
Most of these declarations, 15 million, included a refund request (8.6% more) for a total amount of 11,848 million, 16.5% more.
Until last July 3, the Agency had already responded to 80.2% of these requests -12 million, 7.7% more- and returned 70.1% of the amount requested -8,301 million, 13.8% more -.
Likewise, 6.4 million declarations to be entered have also been received, 4.1% less, for a total amount of 16,751 million, 8.3% more.
Almost 92% of the declarations, electronically
Almost 92% of the declarations have been submitted electronically, either through the Renta Web program or the Agency’s mobile application, an option that has grown by 23.6% this year, to a total of 525,100 declarations -of which 396,800 were in a single click, without going through the Renta Web program-.
Taxpayers have also gone electronically to resolve their doubts through the virtual assistant (272,000) and the Income informer (250,000), requests that are still far from the more than two million telephone calls received.
With regard to personalized attention, 1.07 million taxpayers have submitted their declaration by telephone through the “Le Llamamos” plan and 779,000, in person at offices, 20.1% more than the previous year.
Parallel to the income campaign, the wealth tax campaign has been carried out, which has resulted in more than 228,000 returns filed and an amount to be paid of 1,229 million euros.
