Santa Cruz de Tenerife (EFE).- The Canarian Coalition will continue to “bet heavily” to open, before the next general elections on July 23, a common space for the “Canarian obedience” parties, which will allow them to obtain the greatest representation in Parliament possible, said the general secretary of CC, Fernando Clavijo.
Clavijo, in statements to journalists after the meeting of the National Executive Committee of CC, has indicated that the last legislature has shown the importance of having parliamentarians in the Courts of Canarian obedience and has stated that the next government of Spain is going to decide for very few votes.
He has indicated that the Catalans and the Basques have advanced due to that strategic need to have them and has indicated that if the CC gets the citizens to vote for him the same way they did in the regional elections, they could get four or five deputies and six or seven senators.
Clavijo explained that the meeting of the governing body has also addressed the closed electoral alliances in 22 municipalities and four councils as well as in the Government of the Canary Islands.
Asked by the La Laguna City Council, the CC leader has not spoken and has said that in Tenerife Arico, Icod de Los Vinos and La Guancha remain to be defined, the latter municipality in which some difference must be resolved, he said. .
Negotiations are being held in Gran Canaria in Firgas and in Lanzarote in Teguise, the candidate for the presidency of the Canary Islands has also stated.
In his opinion, the important thing is that everything has been based on a government program and that government program, he has continued, must have a coherent positioning before the State but also in the autonomous community, councils and town halls.
Regarding the Government of the Canary Islands, Clavijo has indicated that he continues to work with the leader of the PP in the Canary Islands, Manuel Domínguez, in the structure of the future Executive. EFE
