Seville/Madrid, (EFE).- Andalusia is among the autonomous communities that registered the highest company creation in April, with 1,505 new companies, according to data published this Thursday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
Only Madrid (1,868) and Catalonia (1,825) were ahead of Andalusia in business creation. While La Rioja (27), Navarra (51) and Cantabria (56) were the regions with the lowest number of commercial companies created.
Regarding dissolved commercial companies, the Andalusian community was the second with the highest number of entities, with 249. Only surpassed by Madrid (516), and ahead of Catalonia (132). While those that registered the lowest disappearance of companies were Navarra (3), La Rioja (7) and Asturias (21).
In April, 8,623 companies were created in Spain, representing an increase of 1.7% compared to the same month of the previous year. While the dissolution decreased by 7.4%, with the disappearance of 1,540 companies.
According to the INE, of the total number of companies dissolved in April, 82% did so voluntarily. 7.9% due to fusion and the remaining 10.1% due to other causes.
Capital of more than 280 million euros
The total capital subscribed for the constitution of the new companies exceeded 280 million euros. With an annual decrease of 0.8%, while the average subscribed capital fell by 2.5%, to 32,538 euros.
On the other hand, in April 2,258 mercantile companies increased their capital, 2% more than in the same month of 2022, with a subscribed capital that registered an increase of 54.7% and reached 1,531 million euros and an average capital of 678,109 euros, 51.6% more in annual rate.
18.6% of the companies created in April are from commerce, 15.7% from real estate, finance and insurance and 13.5% from construction, details the INE.
Regarding the dissolved companies, 19.2% belong to commerce, 17.1% to real estate, finance and insurance and 17% to construction. EFE
