“We would like to see a turn to the right in Europe,” Orbán said after the meeting at the headquarters of the government headquarters, reports the Hungarian agency MTI.
They agree to work for “a much stronger Europe”
The Hungarian Prime Minister added that his party, Fidesz, and Vox have reaffirmed their commitment to work together, while he stated that “Spain has prestige in Hungary”, as it is an important country with a decisive voice in European affairs.
Abascal agreed with Orbán on the need to work together “for a much stronger Europe”, at the same time that he criticized Brussels for the “persecution” and “blackmail” that, he said, applies to Hungary.

The European Commission keeps the delivery to Budapest of 22,000 million euros of community funds frozen as long as it is not shown that the Hungarian Government guarantees that its use will respect the European Charter of Fundamental Rights.
“Ideological discrimination is a real threat to European unity,” emphasized the Vox leader, adding that this practice could set a precedent.
According to the Spanish politician, today this discrimination is applied against Hungary and Poland, but at any time it could be used in relation to other countries.
After the results of the local elections in Spain last Sunday, which indicate that Vox will be decisive for the PP being able to govern or not in numerous regional and local governments, Orbán congratulated Abascal on Monday, describing the results of that formation as “a reconquest ”.
