Pamplona (EFE).- The House of Mercy in Pamplona has closed the poster for the 2023 Sanfermines Bull Fair, in which only the Peruvian right-hander Andrés Roca Rey repeats.
The 63rd edition of the Fair has a budget of 4.4 million euros, of which 60% goes to bullfighters and 40% to cattle ranches, the president of the Casa Taurine Commission explained at a press conference. of Mercy, José María Marco.
Marco has commented that the right-handed Roca Rey repeats late as he is the winner of the 2022 Fair and a bullfighter who “at this moment draws a lot of public”.
This year’s subscriptions, which can also be renewed electronically, rise by 2.7% on average, although none of them reaches an increase of 3%. The Cultural Bonus allows young people to fully pay a subscription for the Fair in broadside.
The Bullfighting Commission has also highlighted that the tickets to see the running of the bulls in the bullring “break records” every year, with a daily attendance of between 18,000 and 19,000 euros.
In this way, a show that until recently was deficient, now it is no longer so, although the income from this concept is much less than that of the Bull Fair.
