València (EFE).- The national Executive of Compromís has approved the establishment of a negotiating commission to work together with Add a candidacy for the general elections on July 23, a list that, for the Valencian constituencies, from Compromís they have claimed to lead.
This was announced by the spokespersons for the coalition Àgueda Micó and Alberto Ibáñez, after a meeting at their headquarters that lasted around two hours, in which they analyzed the electoral results and discussed the possible electoral coalition with the vice president’s project of the Government Yolanda Díaz.
We want to mark leadership
“We are a Valencian political project, which has a capacity for political work and leadership and which is already an essential part of the Valencian political arena, and we want to take advantage of this opportunity to mark leadership”, Micó has defended.
In this sense, it has considered “essential that there be a political project of strict Valencian obedience and that it defends the interests of all”.
negotiating committee
“We are aware that doing politics must be done collaboratively and cooperatively, we have decided to create a negotiating commission made up of different members of the coalition to set up a work space with other political forces,” the spokesperson indicated.
In this sense, he has assured that Compromís can be “a revulsion in these elections against bipartisanship and fascism.”
“We think that in Compromís, after the result of the municipal and Valencian elections, we are in a position to lead this citizen mobilization”, he added.
Asked if they are going to negotiate with Unides Podem-Esquerra Unida, she has indicated that what they have agreed is to negotiate directly with Sumar.
The moment to claim the Compromís space
For his part, Alberto Ibáñez has considered that on Sunday “an exciting stage in Valencian politics came to an end but also linked to certain movements in Madrid” and that Compromís comes “from further away” and was “before certain tsunamis beyond the M -30”.
“We think that it is time to vindicate that space that Compromís has led beyond bipartisanship and the extreme right, from proximity, the transforming force, environmentalism and feminism”, she stated.
Thus, he has opted for “taking a step forward”: “We think that it is time to defend a different country and that to do that in better conditions we have to do it adding broadly.”
It is time to “look less at the navel”
For this reason, he concluded, the Executive has agreed to “start negotiations with the Sumar project” and has claimed that in the Community, the coalition can “lead a different alternative in which they can join.”
On how they will face this next campaign, he stated that it is time to “look less at the navel” and talk “about what matters to the people”, something that they are going to do, he said, “with greater prudence than other times ”.
