Lugo, May 7 (EFE).- The Croatian coach of Río Breogán, Veljko Mrsic, affirmed that in the ACB a game cannot be won with “12 or 13 good minutes” like the ones his team had against UCAM Murcia, which he was about to overcome a deficit of 19 points in the last quarter.
“I congratulate Murcia, they deserved to win, they were better than us. We played two different games in one. We started well until Murcia’s first timeout, after which we missed two free throws and we played a bad 25 minutes, especially in attack, with many missed shots, something that is being a constant”, related the coach.
Mrsic explained that “in the last quarter” they showed that they can “play great basketball.”
“We played very good basketball, but in the end we had bad defenses and bad attacks at important moments. You can’t win in a league as demanding as this by playing 12 or 13 good minutes. We cannot let another team dominate the rebound because of us, for not closing it, ”he lamented.
The coach acknowledged that the “head failed the entire game, especially when (Sadiel) Rojas entered” the field and “instead of playing basketball” his players began to “complain and lose focus (concentration)”. EFE
