Chipiona (Cádiz), (EFE).- The town of Chipiona says goodbye this Monday to its neighbor Paco Naval, murdered on Saturday with a knife and buried in the San José Cemetery in a massive act.
The remains of the former Chipiona footballer have been carried on shoulders from the Parish of Nuestra Señora de la O to the Cemetery in a funeral procession marked by silence and pain. It has been attended by a large number of relatives and neighbors.
The mayor of Chipiona, Luis Mario Aparcero, has told the media after the funeral that it is a day “of great impotence and great anger” at the murder of a 24-year-old neighbor who was “in the prime of his life ”, for which he says that the people are “very shocked” and in “unbearable” pain.
The councilor from Chipion has thanked the support received in the last few hours from “thousands of people” who have shown their condolences through social networks and that has made the suffering “a little less.”
An unjustified murder
In Sharecropper’s opinion, the alleged murderer “has gone to kill and has taken Paco ahead without any justification” and asks the Justice to act “effectively” for what happened last Saturday.
According to the mayor of Chipiona, the attacker’s family had not reported any abnormal behavior “not even in the school circle where he moved” and hopes that this “never happens again” in the Chipiona town.
The Civil Guard has reported this Monday that the person arrested for the crime has been giving a statement before the judicial authority, which has decreed summary secrecy.
“We are in shock, we never thought that this could happen in Chipiona,” said a resident of Chipiona as he left the cemetery, adding that “this is a very quiet town and we cannot believe what has happened.”
Numerous football clubs from different categories have expressed their sorrow for the death of Paco Naval, who was an active player for Chipiona CF, of the senior Segunda Andaluza. EFE
