Madrid (EFE) although the offer of this type was multiplied by 12.
This is clear from the report on the state of the labor market in 2022, prepared by InfoJobs and Esade and presented this Wednesday, according to which 18% more vacancies were published on the job portal than in 2021, reaching 2.7 millions.
At the same time, the demand for work also registered an increase in the portal, although less, of 5%, since almost 3.7 million people applied to some of the vacancies published throughout 2022.
The average gross annual salary offered on the portal in 2022 was 24,395 euros, 0.7% less than the previous year, although in the IT and telecommunications sector this grew by 2%, to 32,520 euros, since these are more sought-after professions but with fewer candidates.
“Difficulty” in tourism and restoration
The report indicates that the “difficulty” to recruit has boosted the salary in the sectors with lower salaries, such as in the case of tourism and restaurants, where the offers published in InfoJobs registered an increase of 5.1% to reach a salary average offered of 19,166 euros.
Those responsible for the report point out that the “imbalance between supply and demand” in tourism and restaurants led to a lack of workers during the summer of 2022 that ended up pushing up wages.
With regard to competition per position in specific subsectors, that is, the number of applicants per vacancy, systems architecture, with 8, and clinical research, with 11, were among the positions with the least competition, while that audiovisual techniques (254) and reception (234) registered the greatest competition.
