Madrid (EFE).- Felipe VI and the acting President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will not hold the traditional summer office at the Marivent Palace in Palma, but will meet at the Zarzuela Palace as they usually do, on a date to be specified.
The spokesperson for the Executive, Isabel Rodríguez, has reported that the office will not have an extraordinary nature, but that the king and Sánchez will see each other “in an ordinary way as usual” once the Government has come into office after the general elections last Sunday.
This was the case in August 2016, when the monarch traveled from Palma to Madrid to meet Rajoy at the Zarzuela, also acting president at the time.
Rodríguez has not specified when the office will take place prior to the holiday break.
Felipe VI plans to travel to Palma tomorrow, where he will meet on Thursday with the main authorities of the Balearic Islands.
