Palma, Jul 24 (EFE) .- Women’s Cantabria, Baleares, Galicia, Catalonia and Valencia ma (RCNP).
On board the J80 one-designs, the fleet of the women’s class will sail with the aim of taking over at the top of the podium the teams that have shared the three titles up for grabs to date: Helena Alegre’s “Federación Belear” in 2019, Nuria Sánchez’s “Dorsia Covirán” in 2021 and María Bover’s “Team Balearia” in the latest edition.
In front of them, nine other teams have already confirmed that they will be in the Copa del Rey Mapfre, according to the organization of the regatta in a statement.
These are: Helena Alegre with the “Sal”, Eva González with the “Zona Norte” of Santander, María Perelló with the “Herbalife Nutrition – FBV”, Patricia Suárez with the “Citanias”, Inés Ferrer with the “CN Arenal”, Elena Raga at the controls of the “Bandido”, Laura Tamani with the “Repsol FM Grupo Técnológico” and two crews from the Monte Real Yacht Club of Baiona and the Club Náutico Ca mbrils.
“We really want to get started and we are very motivated” points out María Bover, patron of “Team Balearia” in statements to the organizers of the Copa del Rey Mapfre.
“This year we have been able to do a few regattas on the Mediterranean circuit, so we have been able to get to know each other a bit more as a crew, and that has been very good for us”, the Balearic sailor assessed.
