There are 22,562 premises scattered throughout the country in these elections. They will close at 8:00 p.m., although from then on those who are in the premises or in line can still cast their ballots in the polls.
They are the first elections called in July and the date has marked since the constitution of the tables, with thousands of people excused for having paid a vacation before the call, due to the logistics of the premises.
The forecast of high temperatures and the existence of many schools without air conditioning has led the municipalities to purchase fans to alleviate the workday of the members of the polling stations.
Town halls such as Córdoba or San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid) have decided to also install additional refrigeration devices, while in Murcia, for example, they have opted to look for alternative polling stations.
Numerous voters will also open their premises as many of the schools are under construction, because it is summer.
At 10:30 a.m., the Government will report on the process of setting up the polling stations and the opening of the schools, and two other press conferences are scheduled later to advance participation data, at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
