Valladolid, (EFE).- The general elections this Sunday, July 23, have the following figures in Castilla y León:
Electoral census
. In Castilla y León, 2,083,717 Spaniards can vote in these general elections on July 23, 28,147 less than in the general elections on November 10, 2019.
. A total of 1,922,163 are part of the Census of Spaniards residing in Spain, 33,932 less than four years ago.
. And 161,554 are included in the Census of Spaniards residing abroad, 5,785 more than in 2019.
. The province in which the fewest people can vote in these general elections on July 23 is Soria, with 75,766 possible voters and the one with the most, Valladolid, with 431,375.
. 71,744 new voters who have reached the age of majority, 18 years, in the last four years will be able to vote.
. Of the 161,554 voters residing abroad, the country that welcomes the most potential voters is, by far, Argentina with 52,136, followed by France, with 23,139. Then there are Germany, with 9,422; Cuba, with 9,303; Mexico, with 7,495; Brazil, with 6,878; Switzerland, with 6,768, and the United States, with 6,677.
Candidacies for the July 23 elections
. In total, in Castilla y León, 31 deputies of the 350 that make up Congress and 36 senators of the 208 elected by universal, free, equal direct and secret suffrage are elected in these general elections on July 23.
. There are four senators for each province of Castilla y León
. As for the deputies, Valladolid elects five; Burgos, León and Salamanca four; Zamora, Palencia, Ávila and Segovia three, and Soria chooses two.
. Within Castilla y León, 107 candidacies for Congress have been proclaimed: 14 in Valladolid and Palencia; 12 in Zamora, Salamanca and León; 11 in Ávila, Burgos and Segovia, and 10 in Soria.
. As regards the Senate, 98 candidacies have been proclaimed: 9 in Soria; 10 in Ávila, Burgos and Segovia; 11 in León and Zamora; 12 in Salamanca and Valladolid, and 13 in Palencia.
. In the general elections of November 2019, the PP obtained 13 deputies – two in Burgos, Palencia, Salamanca and Valladolid and one in the rest of the provinces-; the PSOE 12 -two in Burgos, León and Valladolid and one in the rest- and Vox 6 -in Ávila, León, Salamanca, Segovia, Valladolid and Zamora-.
. As for the Senate, the PP won 24 seats and the PSOE half, twelve. The PP obtained three in Ávila, Zamora, Salamanca, Segovia, Palencia and Valladolid and two in Burgos, León and Soria. The PSOE obtained two in Burgos, León and Soria and one in the rest of the provinces.
Media
. This Sunday, 2,945 polling stations will open in Castilla y León with 4,527 tables made up of three members each, a president and two members.
. In the electoral device there will be more than 55,000 people, of which 13,581 are table members. Another 27,162 are substitutes for these board members.
There will be about 8,500 agents of the forces and security bodies. Also, 4,527 representatives of the Administration, one per table. 420 public employees from the Government sub-delegations and the Government Delegation. And 273 members of the electoral boards.
Vote by mail in general
. A total of 171,126 Castilian-Leonese have deposited their vote at the Community Post Office for the general elections this Sunday, representing 95.68 percent of the 178,846 who had requested it in that autonomy.
