Logroño (EFE).- The PP has won La Rioja in votes and has taken a 9.93-point advantage over the PSOE, but has not managed to break the tie between 2 deputies between popular and socialists in the November 2019 elections; while, of the 4 senators at stake, he has won 3, 1 more than four years ago; and the PSOE has lost 1 of the 2 it had.
In the case of the Congress of Deputies, from the first moment in which the provisional data, popular and socialists have been known, they have maintained the tie between 2 deputies in the La Rioja community, which have not changed throughout the scrutiny and have reissued the results of November 2019.
During the electoral campaign, the La Rioja PP has appealed to obtain the 3 national deputies, but the PSOE has managed to retain and revalidate the 2 that it obtained four years ago.
The PP has obtained 79,113 votes, 45.66% of the total, which is 11.44 points more than in the last general elections; while the PSOE has achieved 61,916 votes, 35.73%, which indicates an increase of 0.88 points.
Vox was placed as the third political force, with 16,880 votes, 9.74%, 1.72 points less; followed by Sumar, with 11,320, 6.53%.
With the provisional results, the popular Cuca Gamarra, also general secretary of the popular, and Javier Merino will continue as deputies for La Rioja in the new legislature; and the socialists Elisa Garrido and Raúl Díaz will join.
In addition, in the case of the Congress of Deputies, the PP has won in all the county seats, except in Haro, where the PSOE has prevailed.
For their part, according to these provisional results, the senators for La Rioja will be the popular Luis Martínez Portillo, Carlos Yécora -who has been since 2019- and Mar San Marín; and the socialist Concha Andreu, who was president of the regional government in the last legislature.
They will be joined by the regional senator who, in all probability, will be from the PP, since he has an absolute majority in the Parliament of La Rioja
