Alicante (EFE).- Two men aged 28 and 34 have been injured with burns this Saturday due to the explosion of the fuel tank of a boat when it was refueling in the port of Xàbia (Alicante), according to municipal, health and emergency sources.
The 112 has received the notice of a fire in a boat that was refueling in the Canal de la Fontana de Xàbia port shortly before noon and has mobilized a medicalized helicopter, four firefighters, two SAMU units, a Basic Life Support and an Alicante Red Cross ambulance.

The SAMU medical services have treated a 28-year-old young man, who is being evacuated by air from the SAMU to the La Fe hospital in Valencia, with various second- and third-degree burns, according to the Emergency Information and Coordination Center (CICU).
Likewise, they have assisted a 34-year-old man, who had various first and second degree burns, and who has been transferred to the Marina Alta hospital in Dénia (Alicante) in the advanced life support ambulance.
Municipal sources have explained that the Local Police, the Civil Guard and the Dénia firefighters have also intervened, and have confirmed that there has been no water contamination due to this explosion, since the boat has been removed to the port dry dock
