Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (EFE).- Fire teams have been fighting by sea and land since shortly before 8:00 p.m. a fire declared in a refrigerated warehouse on the fishing pier of the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, according to reports on 112.
The emergency services received an alert of what was happening on that pier around 7:50 p.m., due to the alarm caused by the column of smoke emitted by that industrial warehouse and which could be seen from a large part of the lower area of the capital of Gran Canaria.
The firefighters trying to put out the flames from land have the support of Salvamento Marítimo, which has moved its largest ship in Gran Canaria, the Miguel de Cervantes, based in the area, to that dock to irrigate the deck of the ship with its water pumps.
According to the information received by 112, there is no person trapped in these facilities, nor has anyone been injured in the fire. EFE
