Madrid, Jul 18 (EFE).- Thirteen communities continue this Tuesday on alert for very high temperatures, with special incidence in Aragon, Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, where there is a red warning (extreme risk) for values that will reach up to 43 degrees, reports Aemet on its website.
The island of Mallorca (Balearic Islands) has activated the red warning in the north, northeast and interior of the island, where Aemet warns that the maximum temperature will reach 43 degrees, especially between towns such as Inca, Sa Pobla, Santa Margalida and Sineu; In the Sierra de Tramontana and in the south, the maximum will range between 40-41 degrees.
Catalonia has a red warning in Girona and Lleida, where the maximum will rise to 42 degrees in areas of Ampurdán and the Central Depression respectively, while in the rest of the provinces there is an orange warning (significant risk) for values between 37 and 41 degrees. .
Aragón maintains the entire community at a red level for maximums of up to 43 degrees on the banks of the Ebro in Zaragoza, 42 degrees in the south of Huesca and in Bajo Aragón in Teruel.
In Andalusia, the provinces of Córdoba, Granada, Jaén and Málaga have an orange level (significant risk) due to maximum values between 40 and 42 degrees, while in Castilla-La Mancha, the entire community has activated the orange alert due to records among the 37 and 41 degrees.
The Community of Madrid continues with an orange level in points of the metropolitan area and Henares and in areas of the south, west and Las Vegas for records that will oscillate between 40-41 degrees; in the mountains it will reach 36 degrees.
On the shores of the Mediterranean, the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community have activated the orange alert for values that will rise to 40 degrees in the altiplano, the Guadalentín valley and the vega del Segura and the 40 degrees that will also be registered in the interior of Valencia.
In the northern half of the peninsula, La Rioja, the Foral Community of Navarra and the Basque Country have an orange warning for highs between 39 and 41 degrees, with a higher incidence in areas on the banks of the Ebro, in La Rioja Alavesa and in the center from Navarre.
The communities of Extremadura and Castilla y León have a yellow warning (risk) due to heat between 35 and 38 degrees; In the provinces of Ávila, Huesca, Zaragoza, central Navarra and in La Rioja there is also a yellow alert for storms.
