Huesca, Jul 17 (EFE).- The President of the Government and PSOE leader, Pedro Sánchez, has once again charged against the “lie” of the PP leader, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and has appealed to the progressive vote at a rally in Huesca, which he has arrived within half an hour of starting after traveling by plane from an EU summit in Brussels.
Sánchez broke into the rally at around 8:45 p.m., half an hour after it began and just at the moment when the spokesperson for the Federal Executive of the PSOE, Minister of Education and FP and head of the list for Zaragoza, Pilar Alegría, was speaking. which had to end abruptly.
“I have heard Feijóo talk today that they have revalued the pensions, even that they have voted in favor of the revaluation of the pensions. This Mr. Feijóo does not tell the truth even to the doctor ”, Sánchez said.
At the event, held in a hotel in Huesca and attended by around 3,000 people, according to Ferraz sources, the acting president of Aragon, Javier Lambán, attended as part of the public, despite the fact that sources from his environment assure that he had not been invited or allowed to speak.
Lambán hastily left at the end of the meeting in the opposite direction of Sánchez, with whom he has not greeted at any time.
Sánchez, who after his 20-minute speech returned to Brussels by plane, asked in the last week of the campaign that “not one vote stay at home” in order to allow “progress to be the winner” and that “The only setback that exists is the lie of the PP and Vox.”
And on the last day of the polls, he has charged against the “interested forecasts” who, in his opinion, “do not know the Socialists” because he affirms that they are not resigned, but rather reinforce their “determination” that in the general elections of 23 July “who is going to win are the Spaniards with advances for four years voting for the PSOE”.
“For this reason, to all those who voted progressive and not for the PSOE in the last municipal and regional elections on May 28 here in Huesca, I want to tell you that voting for the PSOE has a double value: because on the one hand we guarantee four more years of progress and advances and it is the only vote that stops Feijóo and Abascal ”, he added.
The fragmentation of the left in Huesca in the municipal elections in May took its toll, since Podemos, Con Huesca, La Chunta and Equo were left out because they did not achieve the minimum representation, and the PP managed to unseat the Socialists from the City Council.
In an attempt to concentrate the progressive vote, Sánchez has chosen Huesca for this rally organized in 24 hours, a constituency where the PSOE also aspires to retain the two seats it currently has in Congress out of the three at stake.
Sánchez has once again appealed to the vote of young people, who, according to what he has said, are “the most lazy in deciding whether or not they want to go to vote”, and that of women, “some of them still undecided”.
He has also made an appeal to people who have never voted for the PSOE, who abstained in the municipal and regional elections in May, and to voters of the PP and Ciudadanos who are “ashamed” of the pacts with Vox.
