Santander (EFE).- More than 1,200 agents will ensure the normal development of electoral day on July 23 in Cantabria.
Members of the National Police, the Civil Guard and the Local Police of the autonomous community will form this device to guarantee citizen security and the exercise of rights and freedoms throughout next Sunday, July 23, as explained in a note from Press the Government Delegation.
The Government delegate in Cantabria, Ainoa Quiñones, has chaired this Monday the Extraordinary Security Board for the coordination of this security device that will be established on the occasion of the holding of the general elections.
Quiñones has highlighted the work that has been carried out for the organization of this security device in the electoral process.
And this so that “the right to vote of citizens is guaranteed and that election day runs normally.”
The device will begin at 00:00 on the 23rd and will last until 9:00 on the 24th.
The Government delegate thanked the “important work” carried out by agents of the National Police, the Civil Guard and the Local Police “every day of the year and especially on such important days as is the case of holding elections ”.
This device has the same police officers as in the previous general elections held in April 2019.
The National Police will deploy 250 agents, while 758 troops will participate in the Civil Guard and another 200 from the Local Police of Cantabria, a total of 1,208 troops.
