Madrid (EFE) and the PSOE with Sumar, while the PNV has put a price on its support and ERC has warned that the PSOE can agree with the popular.
“We will govern alone”
“You are all in for a surprise. We are going to govern alone, have no doubts”, assured the PP spokesperson, Cuca Gamarra, at the opening of the bloc on pacts of the debate organized by the public channel and which has confronted the parliamentary spokesmen of the main parties.
Gamarra, who has not answered whether there will be a government with Vox, has stated that what Spain cannot do is depend on extremes, so “it is time for a stable government, with state pacts on issues that matter about water , housing or education.
“Not even you believe it,” Sumar’s spokeswoman, Aina Vidal, snapped, after assuring Gamarra that they will obtain an absolute majority, while the ERC spokesman, Gabriel Rufían, joked by adding that he preferred a “Frankenstein” government to a Dracula one ”, referring to a PP-Vox alliance.
Rufián has insisted that he did not trust the PSOE and has asked for a vote for independence “which is what forces the PSOE to look to its left, because if it does not look to the right.”
The socialist spokesman, Patxi López, has started from the premise that there will be no absolute majorities, for which he has opted for the government with the formation of Yolanda Díaz.
“The Socialists want to win for a progressive government with Sumar”
“The Socialists want to win for a progressive government with Sumar. The alternative is an ultra-right alliance, which claims to be at the service of the usual ”, she underlined.
López has expressed a resounding “no” when asked by Rufián if they will, as former president Felipe González has proposed, and allow the list with the most votes to vote. “Make him look at it”, he snapped at the ERC parliamentarian after his insistence.
Vidal has also assured that none of the parties will be able to govern alone and has asked for the vote for his formation, especially in the constituencies where the last deputy can go to Vox.
The PNV spokesman, Aitor Esteban, has said that the PP has crossed an unassumable line by agreeing with those of Santiago Abascal in some territories and has put a price on the support of his formation. “We are not anyone’s crutch,” he added.
From Vox and addressing the PP, Iván Espinosa de los Monteros has made it clear that they would never let the PSOE govern. “Not crazy,” he remarked.
Finally, Bildu’s spokesman, Oskar Matute, has indicated that his formation will not support the right in any space. “You will always have us in front of you, have no doubt,” he replied to Gamarra.
