Moscow/kyiv (EFE).- The Russian authorities denounced this Friday Ukrainian attacks with drones against the Kursk and Voronezh regions.
In Voronezh, the attack was carried out against the homonymous regional capital, some 520 kilometers south of Moscow, reported the local governor, Aleksandr Gusev.
As Gusev wrote on Telegram, the city’s anti-aircraft defenses detected three drones a few kilometers from the capital and destroyed them, causing no casualties or damage.
Local authorities also reported that another unmanned device fell last night in the city of Kurchatov, in the Kursk region, bordering Ukraine.
According to the Telegram channel Shot, the drone crashed four kilometers from the Kursk nuclear power plant.
Ukraine destroys 16 of the 17 Shahed that Russia launched last night
For its part, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this Friday in a statement that its anti-aircraft defenses intercepted 16 of the total 17 Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones launched in the last few hours by Russia against the territory of Ukraine.
“From the afternoon of July 13 to 4 am on the 14th, the ‘Ruscists’ attacked Ukraine with 17 drones from the southeast,” says the Air Force report.
The note adds that 16 of these drones were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force in various oblasts in southern and eastern Ukraine.
Specifically, six of the Shahed were shot down in the Krivi Rig oblast (southeast), where one of the unmanned devices launched by Russia could not be intercepted and destroyed an administrative building of a municipal company and a 56-year-old man was injured. .
Russia also launched into orbit last night in Ukrainian airspace a reconnaissance drone that kyiv says was shot down by Ukrainian forces.
During yesterday, Ukraine destroyed another six Russian drones launched to collect information.
