Strasbourg (France) (EFE) burning foreign policy issues.
This is the second of the forums to be held until July 17 under the name “EFE Forum 23J”, after holding the first one the day before on environmental issues, continuing tomorrow with economy and closing next week with equality policies.
Prominent representatives of the four largest political organizations -PSOE, PP, VOX and Sumar- participate in each debate, which is structured around four blocks of questions and is broadcast live in its entirety to subscribers through EFE channels and, to the general public, via Youtube and social networks.
The representatives of the political parties invited to the second of these forums are the MEP and socialist spokesman in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, Nacho Sánchez Amor, the popular MEP and former Minister of Foreign Affairs José Manuel García-Margallo, the MEP and national spokesman of VOX, Jorge Buxadé, and the MEP of Podemos and head of the list of the Sumar por Navarra coalition, Idoia Villanueva.
Topics present in the debate
The debate will focus on the challenges of the Russian war against Ukraine, the role of Spain in Latin America, the relationship with the Maghreb countries, especially with Morocco, and the management of migratory flows, all in the context of the presidency biannual Spanish of the Council of the European Union.
Moderated by the EFE delegate in Brussels, Catalina Guerrero, the one-hour debate will be broadcast live starting at 9:30 a.m. from the Eurochamber television studios.
Both the initial debate on the environment and those dedicated to the economy and equality have been organized by EFE in Madrid in collaboration with the “la Caixa” Foundation and the Ortega-Marañón Foundation.
This initiative responds to “the obligation and public service vocation of the Agency”, as stated by the president of EFE, Gabriela Cañas, when recalling the need to “contribute to precise and direct information for citizens on the specific proposals of these parties in four key areas.
