Huelva (EFE).- The Minister of Finance and Public Function and head of the PSOE list for Seville in the 23J elections, María Jesús Montero, defended this Sunday that “fanaticism and intolerance are not going to make their way in Spain ” and that those who make “noise” or shout “ultra-right slogans” will not silence the PSOE.
Montero has assured in Punta Umbría (Huelva) that they are not going to “intimidate” the PSOE and has guaranteed that his party will continue to transmit “democracy, coexistence, acceptance, capacity for understanding among those of us who are different, among the peoples of Spain.”
He has warned that “Spain is risking everything” on July 23 and has defended that Pedro Sánchez has protected the “social majority” of the country, pensioners, has put up “scaffolding” so that young people can develop their project of life, and has given “dignity” to workers, among other issues.
Montero believes that with the removal of LGTBI flags from public places and ase is sending “a message of warning, of intolerance, of hatred of not accepting diversity” because PP and Vox “have a very small idea of Spain, where only the who think like them, because they are dogmatic about how and in what way Spain has to be built”.
The minister has appealed to all citizens who want “the best version of Spain” and not live “bygone times that we thought were forgotten” but that are still there “as a threat, hand in hand with PP and Vox, which mounts so much, ride so much.”
