The communities of Madrid, Aragon, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia and the Valencian Community will also become yellow today, starting at 1:00 p.m., according to the latest data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) in its Web page.
In Andalusia, 40 degrees are expected in the Cordoba countryside, in large parts of the interior of Granada, throughout the province of Jaén and Seville, and up to 39 degrees on the coast of Huelva; in the interior of Malaga and Cádiz it will reach up to 38 degrees.
In Castilla-La Mancha, the thermometers will reach 39 degrees in La Mancha, Albacete, as well as in Hellín and Segura, also in that province, and in Ciudad Real they will reach 38 and up to 36 degrees in La Mancha, Cuenca.
In Madrid, maximum temperatures of 36 degrees are expected in the south, Vegas and west of the community, according to Aemet data.
In Aragon, the provinces of Teruel and Zaragoza could register up to 36 degrees and the south of Huesca is also on alert for these heat levels.
In the Balearic Islands, the interior and north of the island of Mallorca will be under warning for temperatures of up to 37-38 degrees.
Likewise, Lleida will activate the alert for maximum temperatures between 35 and 36 degrees in the Pyrenees and central depression.
In the Valencian Community, the northern interior of the province of Valencia will be under warning for maximum values of 36 degrees.
