Sports writing, Jul 8 (EFE).- The cycling caravan of the Pilgrim Race by TressisALAPAR, which has linked the 670 kilometers that separate Madrid from Santiago de Compostela during seven stages, conquered the Galician city this Saturday with a hundred participants, who they crossed the finish line in Plaza del Obradoiro.
The test was divided into two parts. A first timed during the first four days, designed for the participant to get the most out of it at a sporting level, and a second non-competitive one that began in the town of Astorga in Leon, where the cyclist became a pilgrim until he reached Santiago de Compostela.
In addition to fighting against the clock, the fifth edition of the Pilgrim Race served to give visibility to different causes. This is the case of the participants of the TressisALAPAR team, made up, among other members, of people with different abilities who demonstrated that with desire and effort anything is possible. So did the team ‘El Motor de tus Pasos’, which fights to provide more resources to the investigation of Charcot Marie Tooth disease, or the members of ‘Pedaladas por el Tourette’.
The Pilgrim Race, starting in Madrid, stopped during its seven stages in Cercedilla, Olmedo, Medina de Rioseco, Astorga, Villamartín de Valdeorras, Chantada and Santiago de Compostela.
