Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (EFE).- Dreamland Gran Canaria has renewed the contract of American guard AJ Slaughter (Louisville, 1987) for the next season.
The player will thus complete his fourth season with the Claretian team, the club in which he has played the longest in his extensive professional career, recalls Gran Canaria in a statement.
Slaughter landed on the island in November 2020 and was a fundamental piece in reactivating the yellow team after a bad start to the season.
Last season, the shooting guard averaged 10.2 points and 2.1 assists in the Endesa League, while in the Euro Cup his contribution was 11.4 points and 2.8 assists.
In total, Slaughter has played 95 games in national competitions with Dreamland Gran Canaria and 50 games in the Eurocup.
In the Endesa League, Slaughter is already the eighteenth highest scorer in the team’s history with 1,133 points converted. EFE
