Toledo (EFE).- The socialist Emiliano García-Page has been invested this Thursday as president of the Castilla-La Mancha Community Board for the third consecutive time, thanks to the absolute majority that the PSOE obtained in the regional elections of last 28 May, the only one that the socialists achieved in an autonomy.
After almost seven hours of debate, the 17 socialist deputies of the Castilla-La Mancha Parliament have voted in favor of García-Page’s candidacy, while the 12 PP parliamentarians and the four Vox have positioned themselves against.
During his speech, García-Page promised to govern “free of fanaticism, free of frontism” and to do so “with moderation and dialogue” with the opposition groups, with the government that leaves the polls on July 23 and with all the municipalities and councils of Castilla-La Mancha.
“Castilla-La Mancha will function normally. It is a certain region, full of certainties”, assured García-Page, who has asked the opposition to behave with respect, in the same way that he has stressed that he will respect them all, as politicians and as people.
