Barcelona (EFE).- The Mossos d’Esquadra arrested a man last night as the alleged author of the violent death of a woman in a hotel in Salou (Tarragona) and are investigating the causes of the crime.
The relationship between the victim and the detainee, who had a self-inflicted wound, is unknown. A Mossos spokeswoman has evaded confirming to EFE if the crime is being investigated as a possible sexist murder given that the investigation is under the secrecy of the proceedings.
As reported by the Generalitat Police on Monday, the events occurred around 9:30 p.m. this Sunday, at which time the Mossos received notice from a hotel in Salou that a woman was seriously injured in the establishment.
When they arrived at the scene, the agents found that there was a woman lying on the ground and an injured man next to her.
Although the health personnel of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) tried to revive her, in the end they could only certify her death.
Agents of the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of Tarragona, in charge of clarifying the causes of the crime, arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of the woman’s death.
