Pastor was considered a benchmark for bullfighting criticism, a man much loved and admired by his peers, a regular at all the bullfighting festivities that were held in the Segovian province, of which he always reported promptly to both EFE and the Adelantado de Segovia, where He had been working for more than six decades.
He began working in Adelantado, Pastor told EFE in an interview on the occasion of a tribute paid to him by the Segovia Provincial Council, at the age of 27 as a bullfighting and sports reporter, and he had also been a correspondent for many years at Efe and fulfilling, until last 2021, punctually with the reviews of all the festivities held to date.
He has also organized “more than 300 bullfighting gatherings, more than 1,500 television programs and 2,000 radio programs” as a worker at Cadena SER, on local television in Segovia and on “La 8” in Castilla y León.
An entire institution that worked until almost 90 years of age, an age that in the case of Pastor was no more than a number, because, although he always joked that his retirement was getting closer, the fact is that every year, every season, in the first bullfighting event in the region, he was there.
In 2018 he was honored by the Provincial Federation of Bullfighting Associations of Segovia and in 2021 it was the Provincial Council that recognized his 60 years as a bullfighting critic.
His loss has also been noted on social networks with messages of condolences such as, for example, that of the bullfighting club El Encierro de Cuéllar, the media in which he worked (Radio Segovia, El Día de Segovia, El Adelantado…) colleagues by profession, friends and also from the Gimnástica Segoviana football club.
