Madrid (EFE).- Eight communities continue this Thursday on alert for heavy rains and storms or high temperatures that will reach up to 40 degrees.
As reported by Aemet on its website, the incidence is special in Andalusia and Catalonia, where the warning is orange (significant risk).
In the case of Andalusia, the orange alert is due to the forecast of temperatures of up to 40 degrees in the provinces of Córdoba and Jaén, while in Huelva, Málaga and Seville the yellow warning (risk) persists due to highs that will range between 36-38 degrees.
For its part, Catalonia has activated the orange warning in all the provinces, except Tarragona, due to strong storms, with the probability of hail and very strong gusts of wind, and due to rains that could accumulate up to 40 liters in one hour, especially in the valley. de Aran, areas of the Pyrenees and pre-Pyrenees.
Danger for certain activities
In Aragon and in the provinces of Castellón (Valencian Community) and in Soria (Castilla y León) there is a yellow alert for rain and storms, between 15-20 liters in an hour, while in the Community of Madrid, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura and in the province of Ávila there is a yellow warning for heat, between 34-38 degrees.

Likewise, it warns that with the orange alert there is a significant risk in unusual meteorological phenomena and with a certain degree of danger for usual activities.
