The son of Carmen Sevilla has recalled that his mother has gone through a “long and painful process” that the media have known how to respect, and asks that they continue with the same attitude.
“Now the end has come and we have to say goodbye to her. We will do it in a strictly intimate and familiar way. I know that you will respect our will, as you have done so far. We greatly appreciate your understanding and all your love, ”she says.

The funeral home of Carmen Sevilla, in Pozuelo
The remains of Carmen Sevilla, who died yesterday at the age of 92 in Madrid, is in the Pozuelo de Alarcón funeral home (Madrid), sources close to the family have confirmed to EFE.
A good number of media have gathered at the gates of the funeral home and crematorium awaiting the arrival of the artist’s son, who has not confirmed his presence or any other public act in tribute to his mother.
Carmen Sevilla, born on October 16, 1930 in Seville, had suffered from Alzheimer’s since 2009 and due to her very deteriorated health she was admitted to a residence in Aravaca (Madrid) in March 2015. Last Sunday she was transferred to a Madrid hospital, where passed away.
The actress began her artistic career at the age of 14 as a dancer and at 17 she began her film career, which led her to participate in major international productions shot in Spain such as “Marco Antonio y Cleopatra” alongside Charlton Heston.
