Mérida, Jun 20 (EFE).- The constitution this Tuesday of the Assembly of Extremadura, one of the key pieces in the negotiations that PP and Vox maintain in this autonomous community in the face of the new legislature, will allow us to know how the future Government will be configured regional.
In the last hours, PP and Vox have crossed proposals for agreement in which programmatic points for a future regional government are intermingled, and concessions and demands when configuring both the Assembly Table and the Executive.
Thus, the PP has offered its vote to the Vox candidate for the Presidency of the Assembly in the constitutive session that will begin at 10:00 a.m. this Tuesday.
In exchange, he demands that Vox support the leader of the Extremaduran popular supporters, María Guardiola, in the plenary session -still without a date- of election for the Presidency of the Extremaduran Government.
Likewise, the popular ones ask for freedom for the preparation of the future government, but Vox has asked to have a presence in the Executive to ensure, as they affirm, that “the programmatic agreement that is closed is complied with.”
Coincidences in programs
Focusing exclusively on the path of rapprochement of programs, PP and Vox agree on lowering taxes, the Extremadura-Madrid AVE, absolute freedom of families to choose in the education of their children, the defense of the Extremadura countryside, the promotion of birth rate and the repeal of the Law of Historical and Democratic Memory of Extremadura, among others.
On the other hand, VOX -in its proposal- talks about intra-family violence, reduction of subsidies to employers and unions, promoting a Comprehensive Hydrological Law of Extremadura and another of regional energy sovereignty, as well as the need for the Junta to inform the police forces of possible cases of illegal immigration, issues to which the PP does not refer in its document of possible agreement.
After the elected deputies have taken an oath or promise to abide by the Constitution and the Statute of Autonomy, the Assembly will address the election of the Presidency of Parliament and then that of the rest of the members of the Bureau, that is, two vice-presidencies -first and second- and three secretaries.
The most voted list
Each political force with parliamentary representation (PSOE, PP, Vox and UNidas por Extremadura) may present a candidate for the presidency.
Next, the nominal and secret voting will be carried out through ballot papers, which will contain the name of one of the proposed candidates and the one who obtains an absolute majority of votes will be elected.
If in the first ballot no candidate obtains the required qualified majority, a second ballot will be held and the one with the highest number of votes will be elected.
In the event of a tie, the vote will be repeated, and if the tie persists, the candidate from the list with the most votes in the elections, which was that of the PSOE, will be considered elected.
For the election of the two vice-presidents, each political force may present a candidate and, later, the deputies will write a single name on the ballot and those who, in correlative order, obtain the majority of votes will be elected.
The secretaries will be elected and replaced through the same procedure established for the vice-presidents.
