Logroño, (EFE).- The new Logroño government team has become official with Celia Sanz as spokesperson and head of Governance and Equality; Leonor González Menorca as president of the plenary session and in charge of Institutional Relations and Economy; and Miguel Sáinz as first deputy mayor and head of Culture.
The mayor of Logroño, Conrado Escobar, has fully presented the new team of his municipal Executive, in an informative conference after the celebration of the first Governing Board; and he has promised to “work for all the people of Logroño, regardless of what each one has voted for in the elections” of the May 28 step.
It has specified that González Menorca will be in charge of the Department of Institutional Relations and Economy; Celia Sanz will lead the Department of Governance, Equality and Spokesperson; and Miguel Sáinz will take the reins of Promotion of the City, which encompasses Culture, Commerce, Tourism, Celebrations and Sports, together with the delegated councilors Rosa Fernández and Laura Lázaro.
The Department of Family, Social Services and Disability is directed by Patricia Sáenz, who will also incorporate Housing into her duties; and will have Laura Arrieta as councilor delegate.
Javier Martínez will direct the Department of Urban Planning, Public Space and Circular City, and will be accompanied by the delegate councilors Íñigo López-Araquistain, Jesús López and Ángel Andrés, who will have “the immediate responsibility of advancing the Municipal General Plan (PGM)”, has pointed Escobar.
The Department of Public Administration, Interior and Citizen Participation, which will be, according to Escobar, “the City Council machine”, will be in charge of Francisco Iglesias, who will have to deal with issues such as the local Police, budgets and European funds, helped of Laura Rivas with councilor delegate.
In addition, in this legislature the District Councilorships are recovered, which are distributed as follows: North and Casco Antiguo, Íñigo López-Araquistain; Center, Angel Andres; South, Laura Arrieta; This one, Jesus Lopez; and West, Laura Lázaro.

Escobar has indicated as a personal commitment to recover the ‘Saturday of the neighbor’, so that “the first Saturday of each month whoever wants to tell me what they want and complain about what they want come to see me.”
He has specified that two coordination commissions are introduced between the local government team and the senior officials of the City Council because “you have to work collaboratively within the house and flee from watertight compartments.”
The councilor of Logroño has expressed his intention to start meeting as of this Tuesday, the 20th, with the spokespersons of the municipal groups; as well as having a meeting with the Personnel Board and “setting a work agenda in the different streets on the occasion of the interventions in the works”.
