Valladolid (EFE) and Valladolid, and two with an absolute majority, in Salamanca and Soria.
León has been the only capital of the Community in which the consistory has not been constituted during this day, since an appeal presented by Vox against the annulment of 477 votes has delayed this plenary session, which will be held on July 7.
The two capital city councils with an absolute majority in Castilla y León are that of Salamanca, with Carlos García Carbayo (PP) as mayor, and that of Soria, with Carlos Martínez (PSOE) as alderman, cases in which both repeat in office .
Pacts in Valladolid, Burgos and Zamora
The pacts have been made in Valladolid, Burgos and Zamora, in the first two town halls through agreements between PP and Vox and in the last one between IU and the PSOE.
In Valladolid, Jesús Julio Carnero (PP) has taken the baton of command of the consistory this Saturday and in Burgos Cristina Ayala (PP), both elected mayors for the first time in their respective town halls.
Guarido, the only one in charge of a provincial capital governed by IU
In Zamora, Francisco Guarido continues to lead the only provincial capital in Spain governed by the IU, although in this legislature not alone, but through an agreement with the PSOE, after the constitution of the town hall that took place in the afternoon, from 7:30 p.m., unlike the other capitals of the Community in which the plenary sessions have been convened in the morning.
Three councils with a minority government
The three capital city councils of Castilla y León with a minority government have been established in Palencia, with the mayoress Miriam Andrés (PSOE), Segovia, with the councilor José Mazarías (PP), who are in office for the first time in both cases, and in Ávila, with Jesús Manuel Sánchez Cabrera (XAV), who repeats in the performance of this function.
Full of dawn
This June 17, in which the town halls have been constituted, the mayoress of a town in Zamora has been the first to hold a plenary session in the Community, at dawn, to be able to go on vacation.
It has happened in San Cristóbal de Entreviñas, where Leonor González Cadenas (PSOE) has been re-elected as the highest municipal official for the next four years after midnight from Friday to Saturday, a time set because the councilor had a vacation trip early this Saturday that they had given him for his retirement.
The plenary session was held with the presence of the six socialist councilors and the absence of the three from the PP, who have decided not to attend the constituent plenary session and take office in the next one to be held in protest at the time at which had convened the plenary session, at 0.00 hours.
