La Frontera (El Hierro) (EFE) , force that, with four directors, was the most voted.
Javier Armas (AHI) will take office as president of the El Hierro Cabildo on June 26, to be the most voted list.
The nationalists from El Hierro have not managed to form a solid agreement with any other political group that ensures the number of councilors necessary to achieve a majority in the Cabildo.
Sources consulted by EFE have assured that the political formations that want to reach an agreement, PSOE, AH and IUC-Reunir Canarias, would present a motion of censure once the Cabildo is constituted in order to expedite the procedures to make it effective.
In this way, the new plenary session could be convened within the 10-day period established by Law, in which the motion of censure presented would be executed.
The sources indicate that the president would be Alpidio Armas, of the PSOE, the vice president David Cabrera, of Asamblea Herreña, and there would be a distribution of equitable areas to the representation quota of the participating forces.
The Council of Social Services of the Cabildo de El Hierro, would be in the hands of Amado Carballo (IUC-Reunir Canarias), who would appear as second vice president in the future insular government that emanates from the censorship of the nationalists from El Hierro.
The same sources assure that the negotiations are in “very advanced”, although it has not yet been definitively closed.
The agreement has been reached after a negotiation process between these political formations, which has been conditioned by the complaint for electoral fraud filed by the AHI against the PSOE from El Hierro, as a result of the electoral results of the Socialists in Venezuela.
There has also been a debate in IUC-Reunir Canarias on the advisability of participating in the future government on the island, after years in opposition, as well as the refusal of the United Left wing in this coalition to reach agreements with the Popular Party and the Independent Herreña Association.
