Revuelta has made this approach known this Tuesday, in an appearance before journalists at the facilities of the sports city, in which it has invested seven million euros.
After solving different problems for the use of the facilities, months ago the City Council granted him a permit for the first team to train in them; but now he wants the lower category teams to be able to play there, thus avoiding their “dispersion” through city facilities and the economic cost that this entails.
He has detailed that the City Council has transferred to the club that the UDL should be the one to urbanize the access road so that the cars of people who usually go to grassroots football matches, especially relatives of players, can circulate on it.
“I feel offended,” Revuelta stressed, given the City Council’s approach, since he does not understand why he should assume that investment, which could reach 600,000 euros.
For him, the statement that “there are going to be a lot of people in the matches here” is “laughable” when “the maximum entry in these matches is 150 people” and “for those people they ask us for things that are not asked of other clubs in their facilities”, he stated.
Revuelta has criticized the lack of help that he has found from the current City Council -whose leaders are in office- “while in other cities, with a greater offer of facilities, it does help those who make some”.
Given the current situation “I have two solutions”, he said “either I withdraw the 9 teams from the competition, or they play here, whatever they want” but “having these facilities, my teams do not play abroad”.
For this reason, he has assured that his “counter offer” to the City Council technicians will be “to do absolutely nothing” because “also I feel aggrieved”, he has said and has affirmed that he is even willing to sue the Consistory for the “comparative tort” which supposes what they require of him with respect to “how are other facilities” because “the rules have to be for everyone”.
He has acknowledged that he will have to address this issue with the new mayor, Conrado Escobar, “although he takes office on Saturday” and “then I will explain what is there.”
Because, he has insisted, the “social” project that he wants to develop in the club “now depends on the City Council, on whether or not they let us play here in September” because “if they don’t let us, then I won’t register the teams, period”. it is finished.
