In May, the monthly price of milk, eggs and seafood drops
In Spain, food inflation moderated to 12%, which is back to the level of a year ago thanks to the drop in the monthly price of milk, cheese, eggs, fish and shellfish, and the stability of bread and cereals.
Of the nine tenths of decrease in the general rate of inflation, six tenths have been a consequence of the annual drop of 3.7% in the transport group due to the decrease in fuels.

Sugar (46.3%), butter (25.2%), olive oil (24.7%), whole milk (24.3%) and potatoes (23.6%) are the foods which register the highest annual inflation, although it has moderated with respect to the rates registered in previous months.
