Pamplona (EFE).- The PSN and EH Bildu have held a “first contact” on Tuesday, according to the abertzale formation, to negotiate the formation of a progressive government in all the institutions, while the socialists have indicated that “there is nothing more what to talk about”.
The Parliament of Navarra has been the venue for a meeting in which the socialists María Chivite, Ramón Alzórriz and Jorge Aguirre and the members of EH Bildu Laura Aznal, Adolfo Araiz and Miren Zabaleta have participated, and which has lasted just under an hour .
Alzórriz explained to the media that he had been “clear and exhaustive” when explaining at the meeting that the Government will negotiate with its current partners in Geroa Bai and Contigo Navarra and that they will not negotiate with Bildu for his abstention.
“We don’t know what he’s going to do. They have said that their votes will be valid so that the rights do not govern where they have a chance. We respect their decisions, they will have to respect ours ”, he has expanded.
Aznal stresses that EH Bildu continues to be decisive
The EH Bildu candidate for the Presidency of the Government of Navarra, Laura Aznal, stressed this Tuesday before the media after the meeting that her coalition continues to be “determinant” to form majorities and “much more seeing the results of the last elections ”.
Aznal has valued the meeting as a “first contact”. “We are going to continue talking, we agree that we want progressive majorities. Given the dates we are in, more meetings will be necessary. These last four we have talked about many issues, we will have to keep talking ”, he declared.
The Abertzale coalition considers that this legislature that is beginning has to “open a phase in which the right does not set the pace of policies. Our commitment is indisputable.”
“Our predisposition to talk and to negotiate. In the same way that it is up to María Chivite to lead the Government of Navarra, it is up to Joseba Asiron to lead the Pamplona City Council. It will be necessary to act with ambition ”, he explained about the formation of the City Council of the capital.
“We will see what happens on Saturday. The only guarantee to leave the right wing out is that EH Bildu leads the Iruña mayor’s office. We are going to work in all the institutions ”, he added.
Regarding the formation of the Parliamentary Board, EH Bildu is clear that it must reflect the progressive majority of Navarra and that the presence of the nationalist group is guaranteed, “that is how it will be”. “We agree (with the PSN) and in the coming days we will talk about specific votes, we are not concerned about which position or seat, but that the majority is reflected,” he said.
EH Bildu will negotiate in terms of “priorities and content” and, regarding the deadlines for negotiations, the Government does not have an opinion: “It does not seem very logical to be in an electoral campaign and at the same time forming a government, it does not have such a priority for us” .
The PSN moves away from EH Bildu
Alzórriz has appeared after Aznal and has transferred a very different version. “We are not going to negotiate any government with them and they are not going to enter. This is how we have presented ourselves to the elections and this is how the citizens have voted for us ”, she said, although she has made a “positive” balance of what the legislature has been ”.
“We have already said what we had to say. We are very clear, we want a government led by María Chivite, with our current partners and without the presence of EH Bildu”, he added.
Regarding the Pamplona City Council, EH Bildu has not conditioned its support for the Government depending on what happens in the capital, but they have put this issue on the table. “They have asked us and we have been just as clear. We are not going to vote for Asiron or Ibarrola. We are going to work on opening a new path even assuming that the candidate is not Elma Saiz and that it is Koldo Martínez. We take that path and we are going to work until the last day”.
For the Parliamentary Table, which will be constituted on Friday, Alzórriz has denied that they are going to speak with the abertzales: “We have reached an agreement with our partners and with them we are going to vote.”
